Hermann Lamprecht

Hermann Lamprecht (born April 16, 1846 in Kallies , Pomerania ; † November 1, 1909 ) was a German glassmaker and furnace maker .

In Gnarrenburg many social institutions of Hermann Lamprecht and Marienhütte went out. There the street to Marienhütte was renamed into Hermann-Lamprecht-Straße and a glass museum was opened in his honor.

Life

After Hermann Lamprecht learned his trade as a glassmaker and furnace maker through Neumark, Charlottenburg , Dresden , Bohemia and Oldenburg iO , he acquired the Marienhütte in Gnarrenburg on June 1, 1876. The boom of Marienhütte came with the invention and patenting of the drop counter in 1882. In the following years this patent for the drop counter was continuously developed and patented.

The Marienhütte Gnarrenburg under Hermann Lamprecht's direction developed into the largest German glass grinding shop for plug drilling. In order to do justice to all the work, further glassworks in Breitenstein in the Harz Mountains and Immenhausen near Kassel were bought.

Hermann Lamprecht was married to Marie, nee Müller. The marriage remained childless.

Hermann Lamprecht died on November 1, 1909 after a long illness and was buried in the cemetery of his home community Gnarrenburg.
