Hermann Lang (painter)
Hermann Lang (born April 3, 1856 in Hürben (Krumbach) , † July 3, 1899 in Munich ) was a German painter .
In the fall of 1876, Lang began training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . His painting The Holy Afra , which was awarded in 1883, was exhibited at the International Exhibition in the Munich Glass Palace. At the beginning of 1889 he painted a portrait of Hermann Allmers . In the same year his painting Jesus Christ: It is Done was part of the annual exhibition in the Glaspalast in Munich. Lang was one of the founding members of the German Society for Christian Art in 1893 .
