Hermann Leo

Hermann Leo (born March 21, 1839 in Säckingen , † November 15, 1903 in Renchen ) was a German priest.

Life

Leo studied theology in Freiburg im Breisgau from 1858 to 1862 and was ordained a priest in 1862. In 1865 he became pastor in Lenzkirch , most recently dean of the Stühlingen regional chapter . From 1880 to 1894 he was a cathedral prayer in Freiburg, then city pastor in Renchen until his death . From 1889 to 1894 he headed the Catholic Church Gazette , for which he also worked as a literary writer. He is also the author of a life story of St. Fridolin von Säckingen (1886), which is still referenced today.
