Hermann Leube

Hermann Leube (born September 21, 1863 in Altenwerder , † February 16, 1928 in Hamburg ) was a butcher, merchant and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Leube attended the village school in Altenwerder until 1878. He was then a master butcher until 1892, then joined the Schaab company in Hamburg and had been the sole owner since 1906. He had traveled extensively throughout Europe and North America, speaking and writing the Romance and Nordic languages. He was also a board member of the liberal Altona Association.

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Schleswig-Holstein 2 ( Aabenraa , Flensburg ) and the Progressive People's Party .
