Hermann Matschiner

Hermann Matschiner (born October 24, 1935 in Halle an der Saale ) is a German chemist and university professor .

Life

Matschiner studied chemistry from 1954 to 1959 at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg . From 1960 to 1962 he was a research assistant with Jaroslav Heyrovsky at the University of Bratislava . He received his doctorate in Halle in 1963 on polarographic investigations of cobalt cyanide complexes . He completed his habilitation in Halle in 1969 and wrote his habilitation thesis on the electrochemical behavior of organophosphorus and arsenic compounds . From 1972 to 1992 Matschiner held a chair for electrochemistry at Martin Luther University, research work at the Bitterfeld Chemical Combine with a focus on electrosynthesis, electroanalysis and environmental technology . From 1992 to 2005 he was managing director of ECH Elektrochemie Halle GmbH .
