Hermann Meyer (politician, 1916)

Hermann Meyer (born December 3, 1916 in Bremen ; † October 9, 1999 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

education and profession

Meyer completed a commercial apprenticeship and then from 1935 to 1945 a professional soldier, since 1936 with the Air Force . After the war he worked from 1946 to 1948 as an administrative clerk and then as a department head in a wholesale company in Bremen. He had been working as a customs officer in Bremen since 1951; initially as a customs inspector and from 1957 as a senior government inspector.

politics

Meyer had been a member of the NSDAP and the National Socialist People's Welfare (NSV) since 1942 . In 1948 he was denazified as unaffected . After the war he became a member of the CDU in Bremen . From 1956 to 1958 he was chairman of the CDU party committee in Bremen.

From 1956 to 1967 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship and was active in various deputations and committees of the citizenship. From 1957 to 1962 he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.
