Hermann Meyn (politician)
Hermann Meyn (born April 5, 1907 in Horneburg , † December 22, 1989 ) was a German farmer, businessman and politician ( SPD ).
Life
Meyn attended the Athenaeum in Stade , completed an agricultural and commercial training and studied at the University of Hamburg . From 1928 he was self-employed as a farmer and ran leased farms in Lower Saxony . In 1945 he leased a company in Harksheide (Schleswig-Holstein). From 1966 he was the owner of a model farm in the Segeberg district .
In 1952 he joined the SPD. Meyn began his political career as a member of the district council in the Stormarn district . In November 1956 he replaced Heinrich Wilckens on the SPD state list in the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . He was a member of the state parliament until 1971. Meyn was a member of various committees, including the Agricultural Committee, whose deputy head he was from 1962 to 1967. He was a member of the Committee on expellees , the input and the Committee for the Verification. He served on the committee for the election of voluntary administrative judge , the State Garden Committee and the screening - and test chamber.
Meyn was a member of the supervisory board of RWE , the Schleswig-Holstein Landgesellschaft and, among other things, state chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein farmers' association .
He was married and had three children.
