Hermann Neumann (politician, 1820)

Carl Friedrich Hermann Neumann (born May 1, 1820 in Arolsen ; † January 16, 1906 in Erfurt ) was a German administrative officer and politician.

Hermann Neumann was the son of the privy councilor Theodor Neumann and his wife Marie Elisabeth nee Tassius. He married Mathilde, born Otto, on September 26, 1845 in Grebenstein.

Neumann studied law and graduated in 1841. In 1843 he became a lawyer in Arolsen, in 1845 in Rhoden and then again in Arolsen. In 1857 he became district secretary in Korbach and in 1859 district councilor in Pyrmont . From 1868 he was also the well director there. In 1869 he was appointed to the government council in Minden and in 1880 transferred to Erfurt in the same position. In Erfurt he was promoted to the secret government council.

From 1863 to 1866 he was a member of the state parliament of the principalities of Waldeck and Pyrmont . From 1863 to 1864 he was a member of the Special State Parliament for the Principality of Pyrmont and President there in 1864.
