Hermann Panzo
Hermann Panzo (born February 8, 1958 in Saint-Esprit , Martinique , † July 30, 1999 in Fort-de-France , Martinique) was a French athlete .
Panzo was Junior European Champion in the 100-meter run in 1977 and won the French championships over this distance in 1978 and 1980. At the European Athletics Championships in 1978 in Prague, he finished fourth with the French 4 x 100 meter relay .
At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, Panzo won the bronze medal behind the teams from the Soviet Union and Poland as the final runner in the 4 x 100 meter relay together with Antoine Richard , Pascal Barré and Patrick Barré . In the 100-meter run, he finished eighth in the final.
Hermann Panzo was 1.80 m tall and had a competition weight of 77 kg. He died of a stroke at the age of 41 .
