Patrick Barré (born April 12, 1959 in Houilles ) is a former French sprinter .
He celebrated the greatest success of his career at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow with the French 4 x 100 meter relay . Together with Antoine Richard , his twin brother Pascal Barré and Hermann Panzo , he won the bronze medal behind the teams from the Soviet Union and Poland in 38.53 s .
He was also fourth in the relay at the European Athletics Championships 1978 in Prague and seventh at the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1982 . He also finished sixth in the 200-meter run in Athens . At the European Athletics Championships in 1990 in Split, he started in the 4 x 400 meter relay and reached seventh place with the French team. In addition, he was French champion in the 200 m in 1981 and in the 400-meter run in 1988 .
Patrick Barré is 1.72 m tall and weighed 63 kg during his playing days.
