Life

Works
A portrait of Klemens Wenzel Lothar von Metternich by his hand, engraved after a painting, is in the portrait collection of the Austrian National Library . He provided a biography of Prince Blücher with a steel engraving depicting Blücher on horseback. Around 1830 he created a portrait of George Washington .
A Mater dolorosa after Carlo Dolci was relocated in Stuttgart. Around 1800, Pinhas made engravings after Rubens' Descent from the Cross and after his self-portrait. In the Baden-Württemberg State Archives there is an engraving called Battle of Wimpfen 1622 after a depiction in Merian's Theatrum Europäum, which Pinhas created.
The ULB Halle digitized the Carte Du Royaume De Westaphalie, engraved in 1813, representing l 'Emplacement des Brigades de Gendarmerie Royale, les Correspondances periodiques ainsi que les points intermediaires diaires .
There is evidence of Hermann Pinhas' military service as a "volunteer Kurhessian hunter" from 1813.
