Schildesche farmers

Schildesche Bauerschaft , also known as Altenschildesche , was a municipality in what was then the district of Bielefeld in the Prussian province of Westphalia until 1930 . The former municipal area now belongs entirely to the city of Bielefeld . In addition to the community of Schildesche Bauerschaft, the community of Schildesche , also called Schildesche Dorf , existed until 1930 and included the actual parish village of Schildesche.

geography

In 1885 the community had an area of ​​6.99 km². The municipality included two non-contiguous areas, the Sudbrack area in the south-west of Schildesche and the purely agricultural area north and east of Schildesche. Important farms were Upmeyer zu Altenschildesche, Halemeyer (today's Halhof), Meyer zu Eissen, Meier zu Altenschildesche and Höner zu Altenschildesche.

history

Since the 19th century, the community Schildesche Bauerschaft belonged to the Amt Schildesche in the district of Bielefeld. The municipality was dissolved in 1930 by the law on the expansion of the Bielefeld district . The Sudbrack area and all other areas south of the Johannisbach were incorporated into Bielefeld. The areas north of the Johannisbach fell to the communities of Vilsendorf and Brake .
