Hermann Pohler
Hermann Pohler (born January 22, 1935 in Frankenstein , Silesia ) is a former German politician ( CDU ).
In 1955 Pohler graduated from high school in Magdeburg . In 1960 he completed his agricultural studies at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg . In 1967 he received his doctorate from the University of Leipzig . In 1990 he became an honorary lecturer in the agricultural faculty at the University of Halle .
In 1954 Pohler joined the CDU . In 1970 he became a member of a Leipzig city district, and in 1990 he was a city councilor in Leipzig for a few months. From 1990 to 1998 Pohler sat as a directly elected member of the Bundestag constituency of Leipzig I in the German Bundestag .
