Hermann Rettig
Hermann Rettig (born September 13, 1872 in Landau in the Palatinate , † 1958 ) was a German ministerial official.
Career
Rettig was born as the son of the senior teacher Hermann Rettig and Katharine Dietz. Following the humanistic grammar school, he studied at the universities of Strasbourg , Berlin , Heidelberg and Munich . After passing the state examination for the higher judicial and administrative service, he first entered the Bavarian State Administration Service. In 1907 he switched to the Reichsdienst, was in the rank of government councilor and secret councilor in the Reich Insurance Office and then Ministerialrat and department head in the Reich Ministry of Labor . Before 1930 he was appointed Ministerialdirektor in the Reich Ministry of Labor and remained in office until after 1935.
