Hermann Schulz

Hermann Schulz (born August 24, 1872 in Elbing , † August 20, 1929 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Live and act

After attending primary school from 1880 to 1886, Schulz completed an apprenticeship as a metal lathe operator by 1890. In addition, he attended the advanced training school. He then practiced his profession until 1911. Around 1890 Schulz joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), and he also became a member of the German Metalworkers' Association (DMV). From 1900 to 1911 Schulz worked in Berlin, then in Elbing as an employee of the DMV. From 1913 to 1919 Schulz was a city councilor in Elbing.

From August 1914 to December 1918 Schulz took part in the First World War. In January 1919 Schulz was elected to the Weimar National Assembly. He then belonged to the Reichstag from 1920 until his death in August 1929 , in which he represented constituency 1 (East Prussia). In addition, Schulz was party secretary in Elbing from December 1, 1919. On July 1, 1921, he was also the SPD party secretary in Königsberg.
