Hermann Tilemann

Hermann Tilemann (born August 26, 1887 in Wettesingen ; † March 14, 1953 ) was a Hessian politician ( CSVD , CDU ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

After primary school, Hermann Tilemann did an apprenticeship as a tailor. After additional training in the Inner Mission, he passed the secondary school leaving certificate in 1916. After 1918 he worked in the commercial profession, then as a union secretary and finally as a freelance journalist. In 1933 he had to retire from his profession and became a farmer.

Since 1919 he has been involved in the German Peace Society and in the League for Human Rights. Until 1933 he was politically active: first in the Socialist Party, then out of religious conviction in the Christian Social People's Service. On January 1, 1941, he was accepted into the NSDAP with the professional title of "Editor". He was probably expelled from the party on August 21, 1942. After 1945 he became a member of the CDU Hessen and chairman of the CDU district association.

For the CDU he was a member of the Wolfhagen district committee . From September 29, 1946 to November 30, 1946 he was a member of the state assembly of Greater Hesse , which advised the constitution , and from December 1, 1946 (as a replacement for Aloys Nölle ) to November 30, 1950, of the Hessian state parliament.
