Hermann Welsch (born October 2, 1842 in Kissingen , † June 4, 1892 in Bad Kissingen ) was a royal Bavarian spa doctor and author .

Life

Welsch was the son of the spa doctor Heinrich Carl Welsch (1808-1882) and Eva Amalie Therese Maas (1818-1894). As a well-known and successful spa doctor in Bad Kissingen, he was appointed royal Bavarian councilor . He owned one of the oldest spa houses in the city, the "Westendhaus" (Bismarckstrasse), built in 1840 and still in existence today.

Welsch wrote literature on the subject of "cure", u. a. The Springs and Baths of Kissingen , with which he specifically addressed the English spa guests, who at that time visited the "Weltbad" Bad Kissingen in large numbers.

He was a knight of the ducal Saxony-Ernestine house order . Hermann Welsch died on June 4, 1892 at the age of 50 while visiting the sick.

Welsch was married to Wilhelmine Freiin von der Tann (born December 10, 1851 in Schweinfurt , † June 14, 1927 in Munich ). Both are buried in the family grave in the chapel cemetery in Bad Kissingen.
