Hermann von Borries (District President)

Alexander Sigismund Hermann von Borries (* 1820 at Gut Eckendorf ; † August 26, 1896 in Kassel ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Hermann von Borries studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg Law . In 1841 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After completing his studies and completing his legal clerkship, he became a court assessor in Naumburg (Saale) in 1850 . From 1851 to 1860 he worked for the special commissions in Stendal and Magdeburg. As a government assessor, he moved to the Danzig government in 1860 , where he was promoted to the government council in 1863. In 1866 he was transferred to the Köslin government and in 1868 to the Hanover Finance Directorate . In 1876 he went to the Opole government as a senior councilor .

Von Borries was appointed President of the Hanover Finance Directorate in 1883. From 1885 until his retirement in 1886 he was President of the Government of the administrative district of Lueneburg . After his retirement he lived in Kassel until his death .
