Hermann von Laer

Hermann von Laer (born April 1, 1945 in Dorsel ) is a German economist .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1965, von Laer did two years of military service in the armed forces at Görres-Gymnasium in Koblenz . From 1967 to 1969 he studied economics , political science and sociology at the Free University of Berlin and the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster. He finished his studies as a graduate in economics and in 1976 with a thesis on industrialization and quality of work, an education economic study of the 19th century to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. He was then academic advisor at the University of Osnabrück . In 1989 he completed his habilitation with a thesis on development theory in science and teaching .

In 1994 he became an adjunct professor for economic policy at the University of Vechta . His main research interests were economic, social and family policy as well as demography. He is now retired. He is co-editor of the Vechtaer Universitätsschriften at Lit Verlag .

Von Laer is married and lives in Vechta . He is a member of the CDU .

He was one of the 68 main illustrators of the 2013 election alternative .
