Hermann von Spanheim
Hermann von Spanheim († July 22, 1118 ) was Count of Spanheim and Burgrave of Magdeburg (1080–1118). Hermann is the brother of the Magdeburg Archbishop Hartwig .
Life
Hermann was a son of Siegfried I von Spanheim , Margrave of the Hungarians and Richgard, daughter of Count Engelbert IV. His brother was Archbishop Hartwig von Magdeburg.
Hermann was probably burgrave of Magdeburg around 1080 and at the same time Vogt of the archbishopric, but he was only named in these functions in 1091/98.
Hermann died on July 22nd, 1118. His property in the Rhineland came to the Counts of Stade through his daughter .
