Hermann von der Marwitz

Hermann Kasimir Gotthilf Kreuzwendedich von der Marwitz-Rütznow (born October 26, 1814 in Greifenberg in Pomerania , † October 25, 1885 in Rütznow) was a Prussian district administrator in the Greifenberg i. Pom. (1855-1883).

Life

Hermann was the son of District Administrator Heinrich von der Marwitz (1785–1862) and his wife Karoline, born von der Osten (1787–1869).

Marwitz-Rütznow was also the owner of a manor and member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1870–1873 and again from 1877–1882.

He married Hedwig Blecken von Schmeling (1823–1905), a daughter of the Prussian major general Friedrich Blecken von Schmeling , on April 16, 1844 in Berlin . The couple had several children:

  • Anna Auguste (* 1846) ⚭ 1865 Hermann von Redern (1819–1886)
  • Oskar Heinrich Hermann Fritz Gotthilf (1848–1920) ⚭ 1876 Elisabeth Dorothea Sophie von Waldow and Reizenstein (1855–1934), daughter of Karl von Waldow and Reitzenstein
  • Leo (1850-1851)
  • Marie Henriette (1851–1932) ⚭ Johann Paul Helmuth von Knobelsdorff-Brenekenhoff (1845–1921)
