Hermano cartridge
Hermano Patrone (born January 15, 1909 in Lisbon , † March 13, 1999 ) was a Portuguese swimmer , water polo player and swimming coach.
Career
Patrone was a swimmer at Sport Algés e Dafundo (SAD). In 1925 he played with the club's water polo team for the first time for the championship of Lisbon. After his active career, he became a coach and led numerous athletes to the Olympic Games.
Honors
The Portuguese swimming federation Federação Portuguesa de Natação posthumously honored Patrone with a gold medal. In his memory, SAD organizes a water polo tournament that is named after him. A main street in Algés was named after him. In Linda-a-Velha , the municipal swimming pool in which SAD trains has been named since 2007.
