Linda-a-Velha is a Portuguese Vila (small town) that belongs to the Municipio (district) of Oeiras . Linda-a-Velha was elevated to vila on August 16, 1991 and released from Carnaxide parish on June 11, 1993 .

The patron saint is Saint Mary of the Cape (Nossa Senhora do Cabo).
