Carnaxide is a Portuguese small town ( Vila ), which belongs to the district of Oeiras . The urban area covers 6.5 km². The population is 25,956 (as of June 30, 2011). The population density can thus be estimated at 3988 inh / km². Carnaxide was promoted to small town in 1991 . The patron saint is the Holy Roman (Sankt Roman, São Romão ).
Personalities
The marksman Armando Marques (* 1937) and the diplomat João Mira Gomes (* 1959) were born in Carnaxide . The journalist Fernando Magalhães was buried here in 2013.
