Porto Salvo is a municipality (Freguesia) in the district (Município) of Oeiras with an area of ​​7.3 km² and 15,157 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011) in Portugal . This results in a population density of 1933 inhabitants per km².

history

The community was founded on June 11, 1993 when the communities Barcarena and Oeiras e São Julião da Barra split up . The place was raised to Vila (small town) on July 12, 2001 .
