Armando da Silva Marques (born May 1, 1937 in Carnaxide ) is a former Portuguese sports shooter .

successes

Armando Marques, who was active for Sporting Lisbon , took part in three Olympic Games . In 1964 he finished 18th in Tokyo and finished the 1972 Games in Munich on 19th place. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal he scored 189 goals and was level on points with Ubaldesco Baldi behind Donald Haldeman in second place. A jump-off decided the winner of the silver medal: Marques hit all 25 goals, while Baldi missed two goals and received silver. The following year he was at the World Championships inAntibes vice world champion. At the end of 1977 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Infante Dom Henrique .
