Donald Stanley "Don" Haldeman (born May 29, 1947 in Souderton , † February 22, 2003 in Harleysville ) was an American sports shooter .

successes

Donald Haldeman took part in the trap at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and 1976 in Montreal . In 1972 he finished 17th with 187 points. Four years later he achieved the best result of the competition with 190 points and was Olympic champion ahead of Armando Marques and Ubaldesco Baldi , both of whom had scored one goal less . In between, he was in Munich in 1975 Trap team with the world champion . In 1977 he also secured bronze with her in Antibes . In 1975 he also finished second in the individual competition at the Pan American Games in Mexico City , while he won the gold medal with the team. In the same year he was also US national champion.

Haldeman was an active member of the US Army during his career .
