Dominion Grundsheim
The village of Willenhofen also belonged to the Grundsheim rulership , based in Grundsheim , today a municipality in the Alb-Donau district ( Baden-Württemberg ) . The rule came in 1570 as a fiefdom from Emperor Maximilian II with blood jurisdiction to the Lords of Nippenburg zu Schwieberdingen . Via a daughter of the house, it was probably passed on to the Saxon nobleman Johann Friedrich von Bissingen in 1646, who subsequently called himself von Bissingen-Nippenburg. In 1789, Count Ferdinand von Bissingen-Nippenburg sold the rule to the Princes of Thurn and Taxis .
As part of the mediatization in 1806, the Grundsheim rule came under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Württemberg .
