Herta Huber (born January 24, 1926 in Schönbach , Egerland ) is a German writer and poet . She became known for her publications in the Egerland dialect, a dialect that was spoken in the Egerland. She also publishes poetry and prose in standard German .

She was honored with various awards from the Sudetendeutschen Landsmannschaft and the Eghalanda Gmoin eV for her work.

She lives in Waltenhofen in the Martinszell district in the state of Bavaria.
