Hervé Jeanne
Hervé Laurent Jeanne (born August 10, 1972 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourgish jazz bassist and music journalist. He lives in the Hanover area.
Jeanne first studied electric bass in Luxembourg and continued his studies from 1991 to 1997 in Hanover, where he increasingly concentrated on the double bass ; he also took classes in New York with Ray Brown , Dave Holland and Eddie Gomez . During his studies he played in the federal jazz orchestra . Then he led his trio Swinging Affair , with whom he released the album Close in 2010 . He was a member of After Hours , the Lutz Krajenski Big Band and Roger Cicero's ensembles . He also accompanied Gene “Mighty Flea” Conners , Ack van Rooyen , Peter Petrel , Bill Ramsey , Sandra Hempel , Eva Mayerhofer , Ken Norris , Cynthia Utterbach, Gitte Haenning , Stefan Gwildis and others. Since 1996 he has been editor of Bass Professor magazine .
