Hervarth Frass von Friedenfeldt

Hervarth Reichsritter Frass Edler von Friedenfeldt (born May 26, 1913 , † September 20, 1941 ) was a Sudeten German fencer . In 1936 he took part in the Summer Olympics in Berlin for the Czechoslovak team. At the time of National Socialism he was a member of the SS , took part in fencing competitions for the German Reich and became German champion .

Life and Achievements

At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, Frass von Friedenfeldt took part in both a saber and a foil. In the singles he was eliminated in the second round with the saber and in the first round with the foil. With the team of Czechoslovakia he reached the second round in both disciplines.

After the occupation of the Czech Republic , Frass von Friedenfeldt, a doctor of medicine, joined the SS in October 1938. Together with Reinhard Heydrich , the head of the Reich Security Main Office , Richard Liebscher , Josef Losert and Hainke, he won an international saber tournament in Berlin in 1938. In 1939 he got a job at the Berlin Charité and an SS honorary leader and started together with Heydrich at other competitions. In 1940 he won the German individual championships in the saber.
