Herz-Jesu-Kirche (Feucht)
Herz Jesu is a church in the Middle Franconian town of Feucht .
history
The first documented church was consecrated in Feucht in 1189. On December 16, 1877, a Sacred Heart Chapel was consecrated on Kapellenplatz. In 1896, Expositus Ludwig Heumann began planning a new church. The foundation stone was laid on March 22, 1903 and the church consecration took place on December 13 of the same year. On May 6, 1921, Feucht became an independent parish . On August 10 and 11, 1943, the church was damaged by bombs. On June 11, 1944, the church was consecrated again. In 1955 and 1956 the church was expanded and consecrated on September 23, 1956 by Bishop Joseph Schröffer . In 1980 and 1981 the chancel was renovated and the heating was renewed. An exterior renovation took place in 2004 and an interior renovation in 2006. On December 10, 2006, Bishop Gregor Maria Hanke consecrated the altar as one of his first official acts.

In 1921 Orgelbau Holländer from Feuchtwangen built an organ . In 1978, the church received TRC organ building a new slider chests -Orgel with 22 registers on two manuals and pedal . The game and stop action are mechanical.
