description

Interior towards the choir

The church stands on a slightly laid-out plot of land on a steep mountain slope at an altitude of 745 meters south of the parish center not far from the town hall. The rectangular hall church has corner blocks from the floor to the roof edge and has three ogival windows on each of its long sides. The gable roof is slightly hipped on the side of the entrance portal . On the side of the choir rises a hexagonal, small tower, which is covered by a roof in the form of a steep truncated pyramid. Above this, there is also a hexagonal structure with sound arcades , which is closed off by a concave pyramid roof , a tower ball and a cross.

Inside, the wooden ceiling is adapted to the roof pitch. Twelve framed small station pictures hang on the ceilings. The nave is connected to the choir by a triumphal arch , in which there is an altar with decorative paintings. This was made by the Marmon art workshop in Sigmaringen and shows, among other things, the church patron. The choir is spanned by a ribbed vault.

In the small church tower hangs a bell with the strike sound ais ′ ′, which was made in 1922 by the Bachert foundry in Karlsruhe .
