Tower view

The transept basilica in the forms of the Rhenish late Romanticism was built from 1910 to 1911 under the supervision of Johannes Franziskus Klomp . The three apse is staggered, the high, octagonal tower in the upper part has moved into the west building. The outer walls are plastered, they are richly structured by arched friezes and pilaster strips . There has been a strong color scheme since 1984.

The wide, high central nave is arched on a ridge, and transverse barrel vaults have been drawn into the narrow side aisles . In 1932, Eduard Goldkuhle created a room setting in Art Deco shapes with restrained colors. This was uncovered again in 1982 and restored. The architectural elements are framed, and the vaults and crowns are emphasized by geometric motifs. The apse is decorated with angels who pay homage to the heart of Jesus. In the western Emporenjoch there is the Fallen Mark from 1922, it was made by the sculptor Hermanns. The tabernacle altar in Art Deco forms was made by Christian Sauerland in 1919. The wings can be opened and scenes from the life of Jesus are shown.

The ringing consists of four bells. In the main tower hang a bronze bell in a ', cast in 1926 by the Otto foundry in Bremen-Hemelingen, and two cast steel bells in e' and fis' from 1948, hung on cranked steel yokes. In the roof turret hangs a small bronze bell in c "', cast in 1981 by Petit & Edelbrock.
