Welcome to Enurmino (Russian: Добро пожаловать в Энурмино! ) Is a 2008 documentary by the Russian filmmaker and ethnologist Aleksei Vakhrushev .

action

Vakhrushev followed the life of the Chukchi and Inuit for two and a half months in the small settlement of Enurmino in the far northeast of Russia. Without any explanatory commentary, the film shows the attempts of the villagers to preserve their culture and identity in the future. One of the protagonists is the intellectual Boris Gytgyrokhin, who works as an electrician. He is convinced that there is a hot spring under the village from which greenhouses can be fed.
