The Herzliya Medical Center ( Hebrew הרצליה מדיקל סנטר) is a private hospital providing therapeutic services in Israel and internationally. It also offers laboratory, physiotherapy, air ambulance and medical tourism . The hospital was established in 1982 and is based in Herzliya , Israel.

Herzliya Medical Center employs around 400 doctors in several branches of medicine. The hospital provides services to 8,000 outbound patients annually, including services to foreigners, ambassadors and United Nations officials in Israel. The hospital has seven operating theaters.

Around 9,000 babies (January 2013) have been born to couples with fertility problems since the 1990s and treated at Herzliya Medical Center.

history

The Herzliya Medical Center was founded in 1982. A group of investors from South Africa decided to set up a medical center. In its first year of operation, the clinic had an occupancy rate of 18 percent.

A clinic opened in Gaza at the end of 1993 . In June 1995, Herzliya Medical Center signed an agreement with the government of Tatarstan to set up a hospital.

In August 2016, the Herzliya Medical Center was acquired by Landlan Investments Ltd. (50%), Clalit Health Services (40%) and Clal Insurance (10%).
