The Knausen (Norwegian for rock ) is a 1,230 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . In the Napier Mountains, it rises 9 km northwest of Armstrong Peak .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it in 1946 using aerial photographs taken as part of the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) accepted this designation without change on July 31, 1972.
