The Hesshütte (often also Heßhütte ) is an alpine club hut of the Alpenverein Austria section of the PES in the Ennstal Alps .
location
The Hesshütte is located on the Ennsecksattel between Hochtor and Hochzinödl in the Gesäuse mountains. It is a popular base for tours in the Hochtor group.
history
The hut was built in 1893 by the Alpine Society "Ennstaler". It is named after Heinrich Heß , the chairman of this society and developer of the Gesäuses .
