from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hessische Baumanagement (hbm) was a state enterprise of the federal state Hessen . The hbm has been performing the duties of the former state building authority since January 1, 2004 and was subject to the supervision of the Hessian Ministry of Finance . The headquarters of the hbm was in Frankfurt am Main . There were five regional branches (RNL): Darmstadt (RNL Süd), Frankfurt am Main (RNL Rhein-Main), Gießen (RNL Mitte), Kassel (RNL Nord) and Wiesbaden (RNL West). In total, the hbm employed around 800 people.

On January 1, 2016, the hbm was merged into the State Office for Construction and Real Estate Hessen .

tasks

The tasks included the overarching control of building measures by the state and the federal government in the area of the state of Hesse. The services of the hbm mainly included project management, business controlling and advising the departments. The remaining construction and planning services were awarded by the hbm as a public client to non-public contractors such as architects, engineers and construction companies.

history

As an economically oriented state company, the hbm replaced the previously existing Hessian state building administration from January 1, 2004 in order to be able to implement public construction projects more economically. With the establishment of the state of Greater Hesse after the Second World War in 1946, the Hessian State Building Administration emerged from the building authorities previously existing in the area; For the imperial buildings these were the imperial building administration and the imperial- related special building administrations including the army building administration and for the state buildings the Prussian building administration (for the Prussian provinces Kurhessen and Nassau ) and the building administration of the people's state of Hesse . The state building administration was initially subordinate to the Hessian Ministry of the Interior , from 1950 responsibility was transferred to the Hessian Ministry of Finance .
