Hetao level

The Hetao Plain ( 河套 平原 , Hetao pingyuan ) is a narrow, fertile alluvial land on the central reaches of the Yellow River in China . Because of the developed irrigation, it is also called the "Hetao irrigation area" ( 河套 灌区 , Hetao guanqu ). It consists of the Yinchuan level ( 银川 平原 , Yinchuan pingyuan ) in Ningxia , the Houtao level ( 后 套 平原 , Houtao guanqu ) and the Qiantao level ( 前套 平原 , Qiantao guanqu ) in Inner Mongolia . It is approximately 25,000 square kilometers and is an important agricultural area. Together with the Ordos Plateau, it forms the southern part of the Inner Mongolia Plateau .

As Hetao ( 河套 , Hetao ) in Chinese, the deflection or curvature of the Yellow River designated (Huang He), as Hetao area ( 河套地区 , Hetao Diqu ) of the upper part of the bend of the Yellow River in the autonomous areas Inner Mongolia and Ningxia .
