Albert Rohloff
Albert Rohloff (* 29. December 1896 in Esbeck ; † 11. March 1961 in Gandersheim ) was a German politician of the SPD .
Live and act
After attending elementary school , Rohloff completed a book printer teacher (typesetter trade). In 1916 he joined the (SPD). From 1915 Rohloff took part in the First World War, in which he fought on the Eastern and Western Fronts. From 1919 to 1928 Rohloff worked in the book printing industry and in state building management. In 1922 he married. In 1923 he passed his master's examination in the printing trade.
From 1920 to 1928 Rohloff was district chairman of the Holzmindener SPD. From 1922 to 1933 he sat as a member of the SPD in the state parliament of Braunschweig . From 1928 until his forced retirement in October 1930 for political reasons, he held the office of district director of the Braunschweig district of Gandersheim . In the Reichstag election in July 1932 , Rohloff was elected as the SPD candidate for constituency 16 (South Hanover-Braunschweig) in the Reichstag of the Weimar Republic , to which he belonged for about four months until the Reichstag election in November 1932 . In addition, he had been a city and district councilor since 1931.
During the National Socialist era , Rohloff was arrested in March 1933 and served in Rennelberg prison . From 1934 he was the owner of a book printing company in Hanover. In 1935 he was arrested again and was imprisoned in Hanover and Braunschweig. From August 1935 to December 1935 he was interned in the Dachau concentration camp ; in 1938 he was again imprisoned in Braunschweig. From 1939 to 1945 he was drafted into military service. From 1945 to 1946 he was a prisoner of war in England .
After his release from captivity and return to his homeland, Rohloff rejoined the SPD. In October 1946 he took over the office of district administrator in the Gandersheim district from October 1946 and belonged to the appointed state parliament of Braunschweig from February 21, 1946 to November 21, 1946 and from December 9, 1946 to March 28, 1947 to the appointed Lower Saxon for the SPD Landtag . From April 20, 1947 to June 14, 1948 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament ( 1st electoral period ). He also acted as senior district director.

Today the Albert-Rohloff-Straße in Bad Gandersheim reminds of him.
