Heva Coomans
Heva Coomans (born May 2, 1860 in Paris , † July 14, 1939 in Manhattan , New York City ) was a French-American painter, daughter of the painter Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans (1816-1889) and Adelaïde Lacroix (1838-1884) , Sister of painters Diana Coomans (1861–1952) and Oscar-Jean Coomans (1848–1884).
Heva learned painting, like her siblings, from her father. She created genre pictures from the ancient world. In 1910 she came to the United States and stayed there for life.
Her works are in many European and American art collections, and 1887-1894 appeared in the gazebo .
