Hibernians Football Ground is a sports facility in Paola on the island of Malta .
The sports facility operated by the Hibernians Ground Management Board was built on a former naval site and was opened on November 9, 1986 by the then Maltese Minister of Labor and Sports, Lorry Sant. It is the home of the Hibernians Paola football club and the second largest arena in Malta after the Ta 'Qali national stadium .
The stadium has a capacity of 8,000 spectators and is mainly used as a training ground for the Hibernians Paola football club, as most of the Maltese Premier League matches are held in the Ta 'Qali stadium. The sports facility has been used repeatedly by numerous foreign soccer teams for winter training. In addition to various clubs from Switzerland, the Polish national soccer team and the Dutch teams from FC Utrecht , SC Heerenveen and Willem II Tilburg were among the guests.
