Hidden Agenda is an action-adventure for up to six players, developed exclusively for the PlayStation 4 by the English developer studio Supermassive Games . The video game is part of the link series, in which not the controller , but a smartphone or a tablet computer with Android - or iOS - the operating system as an input device is used to control. As with the game Until Dawn from the developer studio, on whose game mechanics Hidden Agenda is based, the people involved can die. The game was first presented at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 in Los Angeles and was released on November 22, 2017.

In addition to downloading or purchasing a physical version of the game for PlayStation 4, an additional app must be installed, which is available free of charge in the Google Play Store for Android operating systems or in the App Store for devices with iOS operating systems. It is also necessary that all devices are in the same WLAN network so that communication between the game console and smartphone or tablet is guaranteed.
Game flow
The players follow the protagonists Detective Becky Marnie and Public Prosecutor Felicity Graves on the hunt for a serial killer who is only known by the pseudonym "The Trapper". In the style of an interactive crime thriller, the course of action is interrupted at given points and the progress is influenced by the other players. Sometimes under time pressure, the players have to choose one of the options offered, the majority then decide on the further course of the event. For example, at the beginning of the story it can be decided whether a suspect will be shot at. However, a single player can also veto the majority decision and thus steer the action in the direction he wants. This is particularly important if a player has been assigned a secret task, the so-called hidden agenda (English for 'ulterior motive' or 'secret intention'), randomly assigned by the game and, for example, a certain decision or action also against the will the majority should enforce. The playing time for one round is given as about two hours. Due to the numerous possible branches of the story, new courses of action appear again and again, so that it is worth playing through several times.
