Hideki Uchidate ( Japanese 内 舘 秀 樹 , Uchidate Hideki ; born January 15, 1974 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Uchidate learned to play soccer on the school team at Urawa Kita High School and the university team at Sendai University . He signed his first contract with Urawa Reds in 1996 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 1999 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2000 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League. In 2004 and 2005 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. With the club he was Japanese champion in 2006 . He contributed to winning the AFC Champions League in 2007 . For the club he completed 220 games. At the end of 2008 he ended his career as a football player.
