Hideous Divinity is a brutal and technical death metal band from Italy and Norway that was formed in 2006.
history
The band was formed towards the end of 2006 by the Hour of Penance founding member Enrico Schettino. A short time later, the drummer Mauro Mercurio and the singer Carlos “Synder” Mastantuono joined the cast. Towards the end of 2007 a first demo followed, which contains two songs. After a long break, a permanent cast was found in 2009. The group now consisted of the singer Enrico "H." Di Lorenzo, the guitarists Enrico Schettino and Fabio Bartoletti, the bassist Flavio Cardozo and the drummer Maurizio Montagna. As a result, Insision invited the group to two festivals in Scandinavia at the end of 2010. After another appearance in Scandinavia, this time at the Norwegian Inferno Metal Festival Norway , the band went to the 16th Cellar Studios in July 2011 , with Stefano "Saul" Morabito working as a producer. The debut was released in April 2012 under the name Obeisance Rising . The band consisted of the bassist Flavio Marun Cardozo, the drummer Maurizio Montagna, the guitarists Enrico Schettino and Fabio Bartoletti and the singer Enrico "H." Di Lorenzo. Stefano Franceschini had already joined the band as the new bass player and Giulio Galati as the new drummer.

According to the band biography on the website of Unique Leader Records, the group oriented itself on the works of Nile , Immolation and Hate . Obeisance Rising is dedicated to John Carpenter's film You Live . According to Merginator from headbangrachtfo.com, the band on Obeisance Rising play technically demanding and brutal Death Metal, which is more aggressive than the music of Behemoth and faster than that of the Hour of Penance.
