Here without me ( Persian اینجا بدون من, Inğa bedune man ) is a 2011 Iranian drama film directed by Bahram Tavakoli , who also wrote the screenplay. The plot of the film was inspired by the play The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams .

The young Yalda is handicapped, very shy and collects glass animals. She is secretly drawn to Reza, her brother Eshan's work colleague and best friend. Her brother (whose off-screen voice introduces the film) writes poetry and dreams of leaving Iran . He wants to be a writer and spends his free time watching old films over and over again in cinemas. Her mother Farideh has two jobs in a food factory to support her family financially. When she realizes that her daughter Yalda is interested in Reza, she wants to invite him over - but first a new sofa for the apartment has to be found for the occasion in order to make a good impression on Reza. In addition to the sofa, Yalda's shyness also posed a challenge to her mother's attempts at dome.
Publication and award
The film was shown for the first time at the 19th Hamburg International Film Festival in 2011 and received the award in the Best Actress category at the Montreal World Film Festival . In 2012 the drama was screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival and the Tiburon International Film Festival.
