features

Hieracium pannosum is a perennial rosette or stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of growth of 10 to 45 centimeters. The stem is densely covered with star hairs that overlap . The basal leaves gradually narrow at the base. Simple, long feather hair makes them woolly. Leaves are only present in the lower third and quickly get smaller towards the top. The simple, toothed hairs present on the bracts are evenly distributed. The shell is 10 to 18.5 millimeters long. The acladium is (rarely from 70) 100 to 240 millimeters long.

The flowering period extends from July to August.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 27 or 36.

Occurrence

Hieracium pannosum occurs in the north-eastern Mediterranean in the alpine zone .
