The station, which faces south to north, is part of an intermodal transport hub . It is located immediately south of a junction of the Ontario Highway 407 , opposite the cemetery Beechwood. The surrounding area is characterized by green spaces and commercial zones, which is why the facility is primarily designed to enable transfer relationships. The bus station with 18 stops, operated jointly by the transport companies GO Transit and York Region Transit, contributes in particular . There is also a park-and-ride facility with 583 chargeable parking spaces. In the medium term, the bus station is also to be connected to the planned 407 Transitway , a 23 km long Bus Rapid Transit corridor parallel to the motorway running in west-east direction.

The combined subway and bus station in postmodern style was designed by the architects Aedas . It has curtain walls and a wide, aluminum- clad roof. The walls inside and at the back are covered with white ceramic tiles. The artist David Pearl designed the skylights in the underground part and the western glass facade of the bus station with colored panels from email . Natural daylight shines down to the platform level, where the trains stop at a central platform.
