Hikaru Naomoto ( Japanese 猶 本 光 , Naomoto Hikaru ; born March 3, 1994 in Ogōri , Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese soccer player .
Career
society
Naomoto started playing football at the age of six, influenced by her older brother. In 2007 she joined Fukuoka J Anclas at the age of 13. For this or the second team, Anclas FC Paso Dorad, she played until her move to the Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies in 2012. In 2018 she moved to the Bundesliga for SC Freiburg . During the winter break of the 2019/20 season, she moved back to Japan to her former club Urawa Red Diamonds in order to recommend herself for the Olympic Games with more playing times.
National team
Naomoto began her international career in 2010 at the U-17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago . She is a member of the Japanese U-20 national team that will take part in the 2012 U-20 World Cup in Japan. She scored two goals in six games. She has been part of the senior national team since 2014 and took part with them in the 2014 Asian women's football championship , in which Japan won the title for the first time. But it was only used in the 7-0 game against Jordan in the last group game when some regular players were spared. She was not nominated for the 2015 World Cup. In 2018, she was part of the squad that defended the title at the 2018 Asian Women's Cup , although she was only used in the first group game against Vietnam, which was won 4-0.
